Jang Geun Suk's Graduation Photo, Results and Popularity in School Revealed

On Oct 10, Jang Geun Suk’s school graduation photograph was revealed during the SBS morning talkshow “Bae Ki Wan, Choi Young Ah, Cho Hyung Ki’s Good Morning,” in one of its segments which investigates a star’s secret to success.
In the photo, the cute and slightly plump elementary school kid looked a far cry from the star’s current chic and charming boyish image, but what surprised viewers more was how he could balance his studies with his acting career and still managed to achieve outstanding results.

The production team also visited Jang Geun Suk’s middle school and interviewed a teacher who used to teach him. She said, “When elementary school kids saw (middle school student) Jang Geun Suk, they would call him ‘Geun Sukie ohppa.’ The girls in our school also loved him. They seemed to think that he was such a great guy whom they could never get near to.”

Viewers who saw the graduation photo commented, “He’s indeed a star even when he was young.” One even described Jang Geun Suk with the proverb “sandalwood is fragrant even in seed leaf” i.e. genius displays itself even in childhood.
Jang Geun Suk started his 19-year career as a kindergarten catalogue model when he was a 5-year-old. He became an underwear model at 14.
