[NEWS]Jang Keun Suk won Most Attractive Movie Actor in the 48th Paeksang Arts Awa

 Actor Jang Keun Suk was recently selected as a winner in the 48th Paeksang Arts Awards.

 Jang is to be awarded Most Attractive Movie Actor with the voting of 49.4 % for the movie actor in the awards, which will be held on April 26.

The attractive actor was listed on the nominees with his movie You’re My Pet and competed with other nominees, including Shin Ha Kyun and Gong Yoo.

 The You’re My Pet star will be honored with the crown, which is the third one for him, followed by the first one in 2008 and the second one in 2010.

Jang Keun Suk is starring in KBS2’s Monday-Tuesday series Love Rain as photographer Seo Joon.

The multitalented star is also ready to expand his career as a singer. Jang’s first Japanese album, titled Just Crazy, is to be out on May 30th and his Asia tour titled The Cri Show 2 is to begin with a kickoff in Seoul in July.

Hallyu sees new turn as more K-pop stars dominate TV drama and performing arts scene

Not only are they going to see their favorite hallyu singers on YouTube music videos and K-pop shows, but they are also going to find the girls on the small screen, as TV drama actresses.

Four members of the group -- Yoona, Jessica, Yoori, and Sooyoung -- have recently announced their upcoming foray into the TV drama scene, each participating in different shows for different broadcasters. Among the four, Yoona, who made her TV debut through KBS1 daily drama “You Are My Sunshine” back in 2007, is teamed up with rising K-pop hallyu star Jang Keun-suk for “Winter Sonata” director Yoon Suk-ho’s upcoming show “Loverain.”

“I am so excited,” said Cho Hyung-jin, a 24-year-old male fan of Yoona. “She’s a proven star. She’s got the looks, knows how to entertain, and showed off her acting skills with ‘You Are My Sunshine’ already. I don’t see this as a sloppy idol star being forced to act for the sake of popularizing the show. These days, idol stars are not what people used think. They are all trained hard-core to be solid multi-players.”

Speaking of multi-players, Girls’ Generation isn’t alone. Countless K-pop idol stars are making their way into the TV drama scene this year, blurring the boundary between hallyu drama stars and K-pop singers.

KBS’ upcoming dance-and-music teen drama “Dream High 2” features popular girl group T-ara’s Jiyeon, boy band 2AM’s Jin-woon, SISTAR’s Hyo-rin and After School’s Kahi. The show is produced by Holym, a joint venture between JYP Entertainment and “Winter Sonata” heartthrob Bae Yong-joon’s agency Keyeast along with CJ E&M.

Cable channel tvN’s upcoming band-drama “Shut Up Flower Boy Band” stars K-pop boy group Infinite’s L, and Superstar K3 star Kim Min-suk. Boy band ZE:A member Siwan currently appears on MBC’s epic drama series “The Moon Embracing the Sun.”

“I’m very cautious to say this, but I’d say there hasn’t been many successful hallyu dramas after the 2003 epic “Dae Jang Guem,”” said Yoon Suk-ho, director of the 2002’s ‘hallyu-pioneering’ drama “Winter Sonata.” He is currently shooting his upcoming drama “Loverain.”

“K-pop, on the other hand, has its dynamic and energetic side. Jang Keun-suk, who stars in my upcoming drama ‘Loverain,’ and is a rising hallyu star in Japan, is in fact very different from Bae Yong-joon. He’s very one-of-a-kind, isn’t afraid of being himself, and doesn’t have that ‘mysterious’ quality which Bae used to charm his fans in Japan. Jang’s fans in Japan are much younger than the ones of Bae. I think K-pop stars bring energy to the TV drama scene, and attract young people worldwide.”

While im opening the video.i thought Sukkie will show some silly surprises,but after a few seconds, seeing this kind of situation,i cant help myself not to cry..He look so tired, on the other side he is still cute...Although we can't explain what inside in his mind after he wakeup,coz there isn't word from him.But we can describe  with lots of words in this short video..

A video of actor Jang Geun Suk shuffle dancing with LMFAO is creating quite the buzz online.

Jang Geun Suk’s agency uploaded a video clip via their official Youtube page on the 9th, and it was footage of the actor visiting LMFAO during their performance in Tokyo.

Although it was the actor’s first time meeting them, Jang Geun Suk immediately made a connection with them without being awkward.

LMFAO has started a shuffle-dance trend across the globe, and Jang Geun Suk informed them that he was a huge fan of theirs and that he too shuffle dances where ever he goes.

When asked to see the dance, Jang Geun Suk didn’t hesitate to show them his moves on the spot.

The actor has previously displayed his dance skills on TV and during concerts, but fans were highly impressed with his English.

Verbal Jint narrated JKS documentary and proved their friendship again.

According to Brand New Music, Verbal Jint was the narrator of KBS2 documentary “The central role of new Hallyu stars, Jang Keun Suk” and it proved their friendship. Their friendship has developed since JKS revealed that he became a fan of Verbal Jint after listening to his 4th album “go easy” in 2011.

JKS invited him as a guest at his Tokyo Dome performance in November and then JKS made a guest appearance on stage of Verbal Jint in December. In this way they have built intimacy. In the documentary Verbal Jint utilized his unique and attractive voice in narration. It became another present for whom knew their friendship. In spite of long periods of recording, Verbal Jint enjoyed himself and said, “I admire him again as I felt when I was at Tokyo Dome. I’m happy to join this documentary which shows real JKS and his success.”

Actor, Jang Keun Suk completed his first short film. JKS, who is now a senior at the department of Acting, Hanyang University, submitted a short film as his graduation work to meet academic requirements for graduation. Tree-J staff revealed that he had submitted it in spite of a tight schedule. At the previous interview with us, JKS said, “My graduation work was 4:30 minutes long and I acted in a one-man show. Besides, I wrote the script and directed the film.” And he added that it was a kind of sarcastic film. He also revealed that he someday wants to direct films as well as acting and singing.”
JKS has recently been paid attention because he donated 1,200 million won to Hanyang University hoping to settle the scholarship. The “Jang Keun Suk” scholarship starts from March 2012 and can sponsor 20 students at the department of Acting who have excellent results and come from financially disadvantaged background.

Jang Geun Suk donates another $30,000 USD to charity

Jang Geun Suk recently made headlines for donating $1.2 million USD to his university, Hanyang University. Earlier this month, he’s been revealed to have donated yet another $30,000 USD.

The $30,000 was split three times, with $10,000 USD being given to a different organization, such as one for an orphanage in Kangnam and the other for a briquette delivering organization sponsored by NGO.

The orphanage in Kangnam was actually in dire need of the support, as not only is it the only orphanage in Kangnam, but is also poorly faciliated. Up until October, they had used a gas boiler to heat the building before organizations chipped in to reconstruct the place. Unfortunately, funds weren’t enough to complete the project.

Upon hearing their case, Jang Geun Suk covered the remaining fees and helped the orphanage complete the construction, allowing the kids to spend a healthy, warm winter.

On December 28th, his agency expressed, “After hearing about the orphanage, Jang Geun Suk-ssi worried a lot about the safety of the children. He wanted to help in any of the little ways he could and delivered the donation to them. He’s glad that they’re all warm and safe and is actually thankful to them.”

Actor Jang Geun Suk's official Youtube channel breaks 400,00 views since opening.

On December 18, Geun Seok's official Youtube channel recorded over 400,000 views. His video introduction is being viewed 206,216 around 4:30PM and his movie "Your Pet" with 103,325 views. The making of "Your Pet" is popular which is made by the actor himself.

Jang Geun Suk's Youtube channel was opened on 13th, and already getting lots of interests for it's varieties of videos like his Asian tour, Korean, and Japanese videos of "Your Pet" and many more.

Jang Geun Suk is currently shooting "Love Rides the Rain".

Earlier, we reported that actor Jang Geun Suk secretly donated $1.2 million USD to Hanyang University last month to help students in the acting and film department.

On December 19th, Jang Geun Suk attended Hanyang University’s School Development Fund Ceremony in Seoul to mark his status as a donator to the school. Dressed in a casual navy-blue suit, the actor posed for several photos in front of his donator monument before moving on to complete the rest of his schedule.

Jang Geun Suk enrolled into Hanyang University’s Department of Theatre and Film in 2006 and is currently a 4th year at the university. In hopes that the school will continue to grow, Jang Geun Suk donated $1.2 million USD to fund a scholarship for deserving students.
