Recap/Translation of She-ly Women Show

“Those Hallyu Stars and How They Become Stars –BTS Stories”
This is a kind of practice to me that how to use words to recap a TV talk show.
“She-ly Women” is Taiwan TV Program. 犀利好女人(shee lee hao nyu ren) (Sharp Good Women)
I never watched this show before and neither heard about it, I only watched this episode
Because Chinese eels posted this on weibo since they talked about JKS in this program. Is kind of like 45 min long show. It has a few special guests as talker, and other guests as gamer/cheerer. There are two MCs, a man and a woman, the man called Natto (haha, yes that Japanese food which Sukkie loves) the woman called Beauty Wang. This episode is actually not special for JKS, is about Hallyu Wave. So they talked about Super Junior said they are the most popular Hallyu stars in Taiwan, and some are the fans of KHJ, some are drama fans to Hyun Bin, of course, if you talk about Hallyu Stars and Hallyu Wave, you will definitely mentioned our Prince J, JKS. Here I will just put caption of what they talked about Sukkie. I think it’s very interesting for eels outside Taiwan to know about it.
OK, first I will introduce the guests here: (those only who talked about Sukkie, I omit other guests who talked about non-Sukkie stuff, I will still mention a little bit, but not as main roles here)
A: Media Reporter (special guests)
B: Bodyguard (from local security company, special guests)
C: Taxi driver (who drives fans to follow stars, special guests)
D: Gossip Girl (I give her name, I can’t remember her actual name, she addicts to K-drama and like to talk about Hallyu stars, she seems a fan of Hyun Bin)
Of course, JKS is very popular in Taiwan too. YAB, MMM are all big hits there on TV and he had two Cri-Shows one in 2010, one in 2011, not to mention YAB FM yet.
OK, here is what was they said about JKS in the show, I hope my words will actually bring the TV program live to you, is a practice, hope I do it ok.
First they talked a lot how Hallyu Stars so popular in Taiwan and also K-Dramas have affected people lives in many ways. So then mentioned JKS, they called him 花美男 Flower boy and basically they talked BTS of his trip for Cri-show 2011.
Gossip Girl:”JKS is very popular and his fans are so inclusive to him, he does anything, they would think that’s OK because he is JKS I heard that he likes to do French kiss with girls after he drinks, but his fans were very protective to him.” (now you know why I gave her title –gossip girl, when I heard she was talking like this, I was like, oh no, they gonna trash talk about my prince, but just sit and read, you will find out). “ His last visit to Taiwan after the show, they went to a night club to celebrate the success of his Cri-Show. Of course he and his staff were in the VIP room. My cousin, he is the bartender of that club. This was what he told me. There were so many fans followed him to the club and they were crowded in the public area in the club. The bodyguard used flash lights to point one fan, picked the girl and took her to the VIP room….” (wow, the other guests were all gave surprise sounds). “It’s like the emperor choose his concubine.” She said.
MCs were all so excited because they thought this was such a juicy story.
Bodyguard: “Actually, that was not the case. We used flash night just to protect star not be photographed when they were not performing just want to have some fun time, like drink and dance, but there were always fans tried to take pictures with their cameras, VIP room are glassed so you can see inside, that’s why we used flash night to point at them, so they won’t be able to take pictures. Also if there were any fan were taken to the VIP room which I didn’t see, but still, that was not like what you (gossip girl) said, they were just fans want to meet him, and also he didn’t do anything, it was his friends and agents picked some fans to the room just to meet him person to person (lucky eels). I was there so I know what was happened”
MC Beauty Wang said: Even you (bodyguard) said that, but I would love to hear her version (gossip girl’s), she was making joke that version is more juicy and people just like to hear gossips and you know how rumor would get around.
MC asked Media reporter: Do you like JKS, what kind of person he is?
Media reporter: JKS debuted at pretty early age and he worked hard to become a popular Hallyu star, he is an actor and also a singer, he played in many dramas and movies, but the one who made him as the big Hallyu star in Japan, China and all Aisa, it was the TV drama YAB. (even she is reporter, I kind of feel that she likes Sukkie and maybe she is an eel, hehehe).
After commercial break, they continue:
Media reporter: I would like share a story of JKS. It was when he came last time to Taiwan. We were waiting for his media conference, since it was heavy rain, so his flight got delayed and all the media had to wait for over an hour, reporters are getting really upset about waiting. After an hour and half, he came in. The first thing he did was giving a 90 degree bow to all the reporters and apologized to us. He said he was very sorry to let us wait for so long because the delayed flight, it was due to the bad weather which was out of his control but he felt very sorry about that. He said: “My heart was here already one hour and half ago be with you. I’m very sorry.” His apology was so sincere. During the whole interview he gave 4- 5 times 90 degree bows to all the reporters. So even those were upset reporters were accepted him. (thumbs up to Uri Prince J!!!).
Taxi Driver: Last time JKS came to Taiwan after they went to club, they came out and of course I drove fans to follow them, we thought he would go back to the hotel. But they didn’t, they went to the night market to eat street food. We were all so surprised how come a big star came to street stand just like this. He was super nice, just like a normal person to eat food on the street, the fans followed him and bodyguards have talked to the fans no pictures, the fans agreed. So he just sat down enjoy the local food. Not only that he even feed the fans. (wow, those eels are so lucky). It was really funny, he fed fans stewed pork. He fed one person, then all other fans mouth were opening like:”O”. So he fed each of them.
MC: You mean all of them?
Taxi Driver: Well, there were like 30 fans around him, it was about more than half of them have got food from him. It was like the food show from Discover Channel. The food in his bowl were all gone in seconds.
Gossip Girl: JKS’s fans are so loyal to him (yup, we are) there was a TV drama would show in Taiwan but because of some reason that he couldn’t come to promote the show, his fans bought the ads space on bus to help him to promote shows. At the media conference his fans would bring homemade cookies, handmade soups gave to reporters and asked them to be nice to their star.
The above are the most talks about JKS.
In this episode, they have talked and mentioned about other Hallyu starts and talked about how hard these Korean pop stars have been trained and their managers are also very strict to them. Every word they say and move they do have to be approved by their managers. But, only when they mentioned JKS they came up with these stories. Remember these people none of them are in program try to promote JKS, bodyguard have worked for other stars too, the taxi driver have chased other stars too, the reporter have attended other stars media conference too. BUT, he is the only one that they can come up with real life stories because we all know Sukkie, he always get close to his fans, he is very sincere when he communicate with people, and he will do something which normally other stars would never want or dare to do. He is the ONLY ONE.
I remember in that FUJI TV documentary, when Sukkie and Big Brother went to that little pork noodle store near his school. The owner were so thrilled about Sukkie would come to such a little local store which other stars won’t care or dare to do it. Big Brother said: He is strange (I would say he means special).
