“You’re Beautiful”, the drama which gained high popularity when it was aired in 2009, will be remade as a musical.

The musical production company, Seensee Company, released their performance lineup for year 2012 on the 14th, and revealed that “You’re Beautiful” will be remade as a musical.
The musical will be staged at Sejong Cultural Centre, M Theatre, from 31 July to 11 September next year. The cast of the musical is still in the planning. The musical will be based on the drama, having new adaptations for the stage play.

The drama “You’re Beautiful” brought actor Jang Keunsuk the title “Asia Prince”, and it also stars Park Shinhye, FTIsland’s Lee Hongki and CN Blue’s Jung Yonghwa. The drama, which drew a high popularity and success in Korea, was also aired on Fuji TV in Japan in July last year. Artistes from Johnny’s Entertainment were also casted for a remake of this drama last July.

Gaon Chart Releases 4th Week of October Rankings

The Gaon Chart released the rankings for last week of October. Gaon Chart is the national chart of South Korea and is the equivalent of Oricon in Japan and Billboard in the U.S.

Girls Generation still going strong as they led the country during the week of October 23rd to 29th with their comeback track "The Boys" which was released on the 18th.

Noel, which marks their return after four years, debuted on second place with their comeback track "I Miss You". And completing the top three was Tablo's latest song "Bad" featuring Jinsil.

For the Gaon's album chart, Girls Generation's third full-length album landed atop again, making it the second consecutive week for the record to achieve the feat.

A.N.JELL reunites and shows off their close friendship

The much-beloved fictional band A.N.JELL from SBS‘s hit drama ‘You’re Beautiful‘ (minus Jang Keun Suk) reunited once again, much to the delight of fans!

On October 7th, Park Shin Hye tweeted a group photo of the A.N.JELL group mates saying, “Tae Kyung hyung-nim (Jang Keun Suk’s character in the drama)~ do you see this~? We are heading over to A.N.JELL’s 2nd year anniversary performance~!! It would be perfect if hyung-nim was here. It’s so unfortunate ㅠㅡㅠ“.

Fans couldn’t hide their joy upon seeing Park Shin Hye posing with F.T. Island‘s Lee Hongki and CNBLUE‘s Jung Yong Hwa, and left comments like, “I miss A.N.JELL!”, “I’m so sad Tae Kyung is missing“, “I love the relationship you guys have!”, and “Can we please have a season 2?”
Hongki later responded to the photo with the tweet, “I think I got too close to the camera my face looks big! ㅠㅠ”, to which Park Shin Hye replied, “Jeremy~ Your face doesn’t look big at all~ Is our first broadcast tonight at 10~??”, sparking the curiosity of fans.

[DRAMA]YAB to Hit Theaters in Japan on July 15th

With the leading cast of Jang Geun Suk, Jung Yong Hwa and Park Shin Hye, the Korean drama “You’re Beautiful” (2009) is once again taking over Japan!

Although the drama was aired on Japanese TV before, and the DVD was released last year, the explosive popularity just never ends. This April, the Blu-ray DVD with special features including unseen scenes and music stage was released and the selling has been really good. To celebrate the success, it has been decided the drama will hit the big screen in Japan this month. Starting from July 15th, TOHO Cinema Roppongi Hills will be showing the drama every Friday, 8 weeks in a row to complete the whole drama.

The leading cast Jang Geun Suk is praised as the most promising and popular Hallyu star in Japan after Bae Yong Joon by Japanese media. With the Santori CM airing and holding fan meeting in Japan, he is definitely garnering massive popularity both in Korea and Japan.
