Jang Keun Sukk and Kang Sora won 'Most Popular Actor and Actress' award at Baeksang Arts Awards.

On 26th, the 48th annual Baeksang Arts Awards was held at Seoul Olympic Hall, and Jang Keun Suk and Kang Sora were given the honors of winning 'Most Popular Actor and Actress' awards.

Jang Keun Suk said, "I know there are so many senior actors and actresses here, but this year's 20th anniversary of my debut. It's such an honor to receive this award this year."

Jang Keun Suk recently casted in movie 'You Are My Pet', and aroused positive reactions from the movie fans.

Furthermore, Kang Sora, who acted in movie 'Sunny', said, "Thank you so much for the award. I was just lucky to meet such a great movie and director. I'll study and learn more."

Baeksang Arts Awards is an awards ceremony that is held annually to honour outstanding achievements in the South Korean entertainment industry and to garner public attention upon the best in Korean films and dramas.

[NEWS]Jang Keun Suk won Most Attractive Movie Actor in the 48th Paeksang Arts Awa

 Actor Jang Keun Suk was recently selected as a winner in the 48th Paeksang Arts Awards.

 Jang is to be awarded Most Attractive Movie Actor with the voting of 49.4 % for the movie actor in the awards, which will be held on April 26.

The attractive actor was listed on the nominees with his movie You’re My Pet and competed with other nominees, including Shin Ha Kyun and Gong Yoo.

 The You’re My Pet star will be honored with the crown, which is the third one for him, followed by the first one in 2008 and the second one in 2010.

Jang Keun Suk is starring in KBS2’s Monday-Tuesday series Love Rain as photographer Seo Joon.

The multitalented star is also ready to expand his career as a singer. Jang’s first Japanese album, titled Just Crazy, is to be out on May 30th and his Asia tour titled The Cri Show 2 is to begin with a kickoff in Seoul in July.

NO.1 DVD sales on idol/image category in 2011

According to the news “The annual ranking of sales on images in 2011″ ORICON announced, JKS’ first photo book and DVD “THE ROMANCE JPLUS PHOTOGRAPH COLLECTION LIMITED” (released in July) sold 24,000 sets a year and won the first prize on the idol/images DVD category. It’s been five years since foreign stars, Kwon Sang-woo in 2006, won this category.

JKS’ dramas “You Are Beautiful (YAB)” and “Marry me, Mary” have won a big market in Japan. He has appeared on various magazines. He has a lot of female fans in Japan. Usually on this category female stars win the first prize. The last time when male stars won was “My color” by Takeru Sato in 2008.

Besides, his one of the best works “YAB deluxe Blu-ray (BD) Disc box2″ sold 16,410 sets and won the first prize on the drama BD category. And ”YAB deluxe Blu-ray (BD) Disc box1″ sold 16,080sets and won the second prize on the drama BD category.

Earlier, we reported that actor Jang Geun Suk secretly donated $1.2 million USD to Hanyang University last month to help students in the acting and film department.

On December 19th, Jang Geun Suk attended Hanyang University’s School Development Fund Ceremony in Seoul to mark his status as a donator to the school. Dressed in a casual navy-blue suit, the actor posed for several photos in front of his donator monument before moving on to complete the rest of his schedule.

Jang Geun Suk enrolled into Hanyang University’s Department of Theatre and Film in 2006 and is currently a 4th year at the university. In hopes that the school will continue to grow, Jang Geun Suk donated $1.2 million USD to fund a scholarship for deserving students.

Winners of the 19th Korean Cultural Entertainment Award.

On December 15th, the ‘19th Korean Cultural Entertainment Award‘ ceremony was held in Seoul, and awards were handed out to deserving winners under a variety of categories, including ‘Drama’, ‘Movie’, ‘Entertainment’, and ‘Music’.

A total of 70 nominees were elected for these awards; finalists were chosen based on votes from netizens and suggestions by experts. The filtered candidates from this process were then reviewed by a jury, before the winners were finally named.
