On June 10 Jang Keun Suk will release a cookbook titled, “Jang Keun Suk’s Love Recipe.” The cookbook will contain recipes from Jang GKun Suk and also his love for cooking. There will be a total of 20 recipes that Jang Geun Suk would like to cook for family, colleagues, lovers, and important people. The cookbook will consist of photoshoots and essays.

The type of foods that will be included in the cookbook are popular Korean dishes such as “Platter of Nine Delicacies,” “Kimchi Stew,” “Seasoned Raw Crab,” and “Dumpling Soup.” Jang Keun Suk will reveal his special way of cooking “Dumpling Soup” in the cookbook.

Included with the cookbook is a DVD that shows Jang Keun Suk cooking and also behind-the-scenes clips

NO.1 DVD sales on idol/image category in 2011

According to the news “The annual ranking of sales on images in 2011″ ORICON announced, JKS’ first photo book and DVD “THE ROMANCE JPLUS PHOTOGRAPH COLLECTION LIMITED” (released in July) sold 24,000 sets a year and won the first prize on the idol/images DVD category. It’s been five years since foreign stars, Kwon Sang-woo in 2006, won this category.

JKS’ dramas “You Are Beautiful (YAB)” and “Marry me, Mary” have won a big market in Japan. He has appeared on various magazines. He has a lot of female fans in Japan. Usually on this category female stars win the first prize. The last time when male stars won was “My color” by Takeru Sato in 2008.

Besides, his one of the best works “YAB deluxe Blu-ray (BD) Disc box2″ sold 16,410 sets and won the first prize on the drama BD category. And ”YAB deluxe Blu-ray (BD) Disc box1″ sold 16,080sets and won the second prize on the drama BD category.

Jang Geun Suk has taken the top two spots of this week’s Oricon Book Chart in Japan becoming the first male celebrity to achieve the feat. Oricon said on August 4th, “Top Korean actor Jang Geun Suk, who also has a huge following in Japan, has swept the photo book category of this week’s Oricon book chart.”

According to Oricon, Jang Geun Suk’s photo books, “The Romance JPLUS Photograph Collection” and “The Romance JPLUS Photograph Collection-Favorite,” each sold 11,000 and 6,000 copies respectively, placing in the top two spots of the chart.

Oricon said Jang Geun Suk became the first male celebrity to do so since they started publishing the book charts in April 2008. Oricon’s book rankings are computed by putting together sales records of all 1,711 book stores and online stores in Japan.

In addition to the two photo books, Jang Geun Suk’s DVD ranked fourth on this week’s DVD charts, after selling over 19,000 copies. It’s the third time since Lee Byun Hun and Kwon Sang Woo that a Korean celebrity has ranked in the top 5 of the DVD chart.
