SNSD’s Yoona lavished praise on Jang Keun Suk who plays her opposite character in the upcoming drama series Love Rain.
In an interview to mark the release of SNSD’s third regular album The Boys, Yoona, one of the members of SNSD, wore her symbolic adorable smile by saying, “Recently I’m working on the upcoming drama series Love Rain. The earlier shooting has been set on the 1970s. I think it’s very interesting to be part of the old days and the old generation.”

As for Jang Keun Suk, she said, “He’s a very cheerful person who knows how to freshen up the atmosphere of the sets that would otherwise become very heavy.”

Love Rain features both an old-fashioned love story of the analogue age and a trendy love in this digital are. It is directed by star director Yoon Seok Ho who has produced a series of hit works such as Autumn Tale, Winter Sonata, and Spring’s Waltz, while written by proven writer Oh Su Yeon who earned fame thanks to the hits such as Autumn Tale and Winter Sonata.

In the series, Yoona plays a double role: Kim Yun Hee, a pure and innocent woman who lives in the 1970s, and Kim’s daughter Yuri, an adorable cheerful girl. She is expected to present viewers with a romantic love story along with Jang.

Love Rain is expected to air in the first half of 2012.
