On August 31st, actor Jang Geun Suk recorded a Chuseok special for MBC’s ‘Knee-Drop Guru‘, revealing some secrets and stories that he’s never told before.

The actor revealed that he’ll be taking this opportunity to discuss some rumors, as well as reveal the hardships he faced before becoming a Hallyu star. Although he seemed nervous at first, representatives on set stated that he quickly loosened up and conversed freely with MC Kang Ho Dong.

Since the show is known for throwing curve balls, Jang Geun Suk came prepared with witty answers that made even Kang Ho Dong admit defeat, saying, “I lost.”

Some of the topics he talked about included his wish to become closer with fellow actor/singer Lee Seung Gi, in addition to his worries regarding his current popularity.

Actor Jang Geun Suk will appear on MBC “Golden Fishery: Knee Slap Guru.”

On August 31, Jang Geun Suk participated in the recording of “Knee Slap Guru” at the Ilsan MBC Dream Center. Jang Geun Suk is known for not making much variety show appearances, but he’s making a comeback in varieties after two years of promoting through movies, dramas, and songs in Japan.

According to a representative of the show, Jang Geun Suk responded honestly with no hesitation despite the tough questions by MC Kang Ho Dong. At the beginning he looked a bit nervous, the representative said, but as the show went on he loosened up and opened up about his career, what it's like to be a Hallyu star, and the many rumors about himself. He also mentioend he would like to become good friends with Lee Seung Ki, who is also 24 years old, while discussing his future plans as a celebrity.

The episode of Jang Geun Suk’s appearance is scheduled to air on Sep. 14 as a Chuseok special of “Knee Slap Guru.”

Meanwhile, Jang Geun Suk recently finished filming of his movie “I’m Your Pet” with actress Kim Ha Neul and will focus on the filming for “Love Rain” produced by Yoon Suk Ho PD.
